MONSTER ENERGY HIGHBANKS HUSTLE GAINS ANOTHER SPONSOR: VOYAGER HOME SYSTEMS!
Southern Illinois Raceway is proud to have Joey Rosario and Voyager Home Systems as a Monster Energy Highbanks Hustle sponsor! In May of 1996 Joey opened Voyager Lighting Controls, which dealt with home lighting control systems. After years of being the leader in Centralized Lighting Controls Systems, the want and need of controlling more than lighting was in sight. People wanted to control not only their lighting, but T.V.'s, Pools, Security, Heat and Air, Phone Systems, etc.. The technology of controlling all of these things from touchpanels and phones were becoming available and that’s when Joey opened Voyager Home Systems. In October of 2002, Voyager Home Systems opened their doors to servicing and installing High-End Custom Control Systems through Oklahoma. So anyone looking for a home control system should check Joey and Voyager Home Systems out at www.voyagerhomesystems.com or give them a call at (405)-330-1474. SIR is very grateful to Joey for sponsoring the Monster Energy Highbanks Hustle and we are looking forward to seeing Jake Rosario wheel his number 92 FTZ powered Sawyer 626 on The Highbanks this July!

ENGLER MACHINE AND TOOL BECOMES MONSTER ENERGY HIGHBANKS HUSTLE SPONSOR
Southern Illinois Raceway is proud to welcome Engler Machine and Tool as a sponsor of the Monster Energy Highbanks Hustle. Engler Machine was started in 1980 by Tim Engler, his main line of business at that time was plastic injection molds. Over the years he has diversified very widely leaning more towards "high performance products". He now builds fuel injection systems, custom made pulling chassis, gears, shafts, specialty CNC products, racing engines and some custom machining. Recently, Tim designed and developed a mechanical fuel injection system for micro sprint application that is very popular today. Even more recently, Tim also developed an electronic version of his fuel injection for micro sprints. Whether it be by way of mechanical or electronic injection, the name Engler has become synonymous with power and torque in the micro sprint community. Anyone wanting a great, reliable fuel injection system should give Tim or Tammy Engler a call at (812) 386-6254. We are very excited to have the support of Tim and Tammy for our biggest race of the year!

Announcements
SCHEDULE: The 2013 schedule has been determined.  Check out the updated calendar for the year. Test, Tune and Tech will be April 13th!

RULES: Hornet rules are now updated on the Rules and Document page as of the 2/1/2013 club meeting. Please note these rules will be used for the SIR Twin 25's.

THEME/SPONSORSHIP NIGHTS: We are actively seeking suggestions for theme/sponsorship nights for our weekly points races throughout the 2013 season.  We will have Armed Forces Night on 5/25/13 to honor our military.  Other ideas we have discussed include Kids Night, Church Night, Farm Bureau/REA Sponsorship, etc. which could include special events at intermission (e.g. kids foot races at intermission, free or reduced admission, etc.) We are open to all ideas.  Feel free to post them on our Facebook page or email us at SouthernIllinoisRaceway@gmail.com. If you or your business would like to sponsor the track for the season, a points night race or as part of our special events for the season - please let us know as numerous opportunities are available. We hope to finalize the theme/sponsorship night schedule at the March club meeting.

NUMBER PLATES: Beginning in the 2013 season, the Non-Wing class will be required to run 10” X 7.25” rectangular white plates with black numbers no less than 6 inch letters tall in plain font.  The track will be purchasing the plates and numbers to have available at the track.

VOLUNTEERS: More volunteers are needed in order for the 2013 season to run smoothly.  We are in great need of volunteers for positions such as the concession stand, scoring tower, front gate, pit shack, & track workers/flagmen.  The goal is that if we get enough people to step up, we will only work 1-2 weekends a month and only one volunteer post (as opposed to 2-3 per night) which will allow for vacations, weddings, etc. and a chance to watch the races!

We are building off what we believe to be one of our most successful seasons ever!  Please support the club and track as we continue to be one of, if not the best, track in the area.
